Swing gates and older posts

There are more swing gates here than sliders, and their faults are mechanical rather than electrical.

A post set into older brickwork moves over decades. The lean is small at the post and large at the far edge, where the gate catches the ground or the leaves stop meeting cleanly. The arm then forces it through until a bracket cracks.
