Hardware at the decision point
A lot of Eldoraigne gates are at the stage where the question is repair or replace, and the answer turns on two things: parts availability and gearbox condition.
A unit whose board has failed but whose gearbox runs quietly, on a gate that rolls freely, is worth repairing and will keep going for years. Correcting the post costs more on the day and is the only version that lasts.
